Will NATA training affect my company’s accreditation?Through our education and training programs, NATA is committed to providing skills and expert knowledge for the global standards and conformance assessment community. However, it’s important to note that any courses delivered by NATA or facilitated in partnership for NATA are not a pre-condition of accreditation nor are they a guarantee of accreditation. Outcomes of training sessions are never absolute. They involve a variety of methodologies, skills and knowledge. How laboratories and facilities apply concepts and skills from training sessions in their workplaces and within the context of their own management system is an operational decision and independent of accreditation services. |
Does NATA provide industry specific training in testing?NATA does not deliver technical training courses and does not provide individual accreditation. NATA training courses are predominantly courses that study the Standards for which organisations are accredited or courses that provide auditing skills and knowledge. There would be a number of issues that a NATA assessment team would take into account when assessing the competence of a person to conduct any particular form of testing as part of the overall assessment process. Training is only one component of many that allow an organisation to achieve or maintain NATA accreditation. |
